Shout-Out to Our Supporters!

(This message is from Judy, Safe Haven Education Specialist)

We are almost through Week 2 of camp and I just wanted to say a quick “Thank You” to all of our donors and supporters — Because of you, this opportunity is possible for the children and families we serve.

I hope you are enjoying keeping up with the blog and getting a glimpse into what the experience is like for all of our little ones each day! Our goal is to send 50 children to camp this summer, and I am thankful to have a great team working with me each day to make that possible. This is also a shout-out to them (all of the staff at Safe Haven) for stepping in and stepping up to do what it takes to get the children to and from camp each and every day. We have a quote we like to use at Safe Haven that really speaks to the heart of what we do each day. It is:

Do it For the Kids Bro’“.

All of us chip in our time each summer to drive kids to and from daily adventures, chaperone fieldtrips, supervise activities, and so many other things to ensure that the kids have memories they are excited to share with others and keep in their minds for a lifetime. And our volunteers… We of course wouldn’t be anywhere without our tireless volunteers who dedicate their time to our children year-round. Thank you!

If you’re reading this, whoever you are, THANK YOU. We are blessed to have you as part of the team. Please continue to visit this page to keep up with where we are each week! The kids enjoy sharing their thoughts and visuals.

One of our children (age 5) is at USN this week and learning about triathlons. She created this picture explaining what she gets to do each day! Notice all of the hearts on the page–I think she enjoys this week’s placement!
